So, I made the cake last night. It turned out pretty nice. There was one thing about it that I didn't much care for, and that would be the piece that ties the bow together. It just looks like a piece plopped right on top of the cake. If I was to make this design again, I think I would do that last piece a bit differently and make it look a bit more like the rest of the bow. As for the fondant frosting, I didn't get the time to make the marshmallow fondant, and so I had to use the store bought Wilton fondant, and that stuff tastes nasty.

It is a bit easier to work with than the homemade stuff. I watched the others in the class struggle a bit with the homemade marshmallow fondant. I think I will make some of that this weekend so that I can use it in our class on Tuesday. Everyone at work liked this cake as well. I must be getting better. :-)

Pretty soon I will be getting people to ask me to make cakes for a Quincenera Party. JK! I don't think I would like to do cakes for a whole lot of parties.
